Millars Connemara has been serving Clifden in Connemara, County Galway for over 100 years. Founded by the Millar family in 1890 as a tweed mill and hat factory, Millars has evolved over the years to become the leading boutique of its kind.
Voted as one of the best womenswear boutiques in Ireland by The Gloss magazine and the Shopkeepers, we stock a wide and varied range of labels from all over the world.
While we place special emphasis on Irish labels and the wonderful pieces made on our island, we also look abroad for special items and things that cannot be made in Ireland.
Some of our favourite womenswear brands at Millars are Oska and Elemente Clemente, German labels with a strong emphasis on natural fabrics and sustainability. Any item from these labels will last you for many wears and years to come.
Ania Schierholt is another German brand in store, creating fluid separates from recycled polyester and natural fabrics like viscose. Pieces from Ania Schierholt are incredibly durable and can be washed in the washing machine at 30 degrees!
Other brands we stock at Millars are XD Xenia Design, a creative Croatian label that make funky dresses and standout pieces. Similarly, Psophia is a new Spanish designer to Millars who creates functional yet artistic clothes from refined cottons and silks.

Dutch label Knit-ted create beautifully simple wardrobe staples with a Scandinavian minimalist aesthetic. From sky blue to beige and cream, all the colours are wonderfully muted to go with everything you already own.

For those with a more particular sense of style, coats from exclusive Parisian label Pret Pour Partir are sure to fit the bill. Raincoats and jackets made from coated linen and cotton are revealed in neutral tones and limited prints.
Exclusive to Millars Connemara is new South Korean label 'The Author'. We are delighted to have had this label for two years. Each season consists of neutral colours with a pop of blue or green, in pure linen, bamboo and cotton. With a distinctive Oriental flair, these pieces stand out in a very subtle way.
